Guestbook

Just finished our lovely stay.
Overall great house, definitely value for money. And would stay again! We loved the bedrooms, they are beautiful and the upstairs mirror with speaker was a nice touch. Also the showers are very powerful so that was a bonus.
Sue was a brilliant host and happy to answer all my questions, she also left a bottle of wine for my husband's birthday. So thank you very much!
Great location for walking into Ryde.

Lily Webster ,

Beautiful house in a quiet residential area. Short walk to the lovely beach and high street with plenty of shops, cafes, pubs. Nice park to walk my dog. We enjoyed days out at the Needles, Ventnor and did coasteering and the inflatable aqua park. The owner was so helpful with recommendations and communication. Thank you for a wonderful, quiet family holiday!

Leanne,

Lovely house conveniently located in Ryde. Spacious with everything you need. Excellent communication

Wendy,

Stayed for a weekend over half term and only wish we could have stayed longer!

This is the perfect base for exploring the island with older kids - they could all have their own space (and couldn't hog the shower!) and the communal areas were spacious and thoughtfully planned, with anything you might need already thought of. The great selection of board games was particularly appreciated! And for a town property a few minutes' walk from the beach I was impressed by how peaceful it was at night; truly the best of both worlds.

There are plenty of things to do just within a couple of miles, and Ryde's transport links put the rest of the island within easy reach.

Back at the house, the kitchen is well-equipped and a dream to cook in, but if you don't fancy cooking there are a host of dining/takeaway options nearby.

Everything's beautifully finished but not intimidatingly so, and the bars and sofas SO comfortable.

We took advantage of the late Sunday checkout option, which really enabled us to make the most of the weekend.

Leah,

Sue's place was a great find for us and our four kids plus Peggy the springador. A really practical layout which gave a very spacious feel and plenty of room for everyone to be left to their own devices or congregate in a large communal area (the whole middle floor). No problems parking our long wheelbase transporter and a well turned out garden area at the back. Ryde is really well located for the Portsmouth car ferry, pedestrian day trips are easy from Ryde direct to Portsmouth too. Also the whole island is within easy reach. Longest car journey, as far as we could go (the needles), only 45 minutes. The house is well located for walking around Ryde and to the beach which was great for the kids and the dog. So much to do around the Isle of Wight, the only regret was we only had one week. The Go Eats App was a must for us and allowed us to indulge in the local restaurants' food by delivery while still getting our 3 year olds to bed on time. A final nod to the house itself. Sue has got the house set up with everything you need to feel like a real home from home. Beds super comfy too which was a real plus. Would definitely stay again when next at the Isle of Wight if available! Thanks for your hospitality Sue.

Ash,

Our family had a fabulous week staying in Seaviews. People came & went, but at peak there were 6 adults and 1 baby, & the house accommodated us all very comfortably.
The ground floor suite was very useful for the baby and her parents when she had a couple of bad nights, as they didn’t have to worry about the noise disturbing the rest of us on the top floor.
Everybody mentioned how comfortable the beds are (certainly the best I’ve ever encountered in a holiday house!) and the bathrooms are great too, especially the showers. Having 3 loos is a bonus.
None of us had been to the Isle of Wight before. We arrived at 3 different ferry points, and found getting about by car was a doddle. We had 2 cars with us, one parked at the door and the other in the street, where we could always find a space, but Ryde itself is such a nice town you could happily travel on the foot ferry, spend a whole week there and do without a car at all.
We enjoyed trips to Cowes, Ventnor & the fabulous Osborne House, and also Amazon World zoo park and the steam railway, as well as spending time on the beach and wandering around town.
It was a wonderful holiday and we would all love to return!
